GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING PROGRAMS
Amigos - Volunteer Fayette County High School students meet with our Spanish speaking students to tutor them in English and help with reading and math assignments. This programs meets Friday mornings from 7:40-8:15 September through March.
New Kids on the Block - The counselor will meet with students who recently moved to Cleveland. The counselors and the students discuss the "highs and lows" of being a new student.
Padres and Compadres - This program is for our Spanish speaking families. We meet three times a year at Grace Evangelical Church for dinner and an academic workshop. Childcare is provided.
Rainbow Support Groups - The Rainbows Support Group is a grief support group that is available for children who have experienced loss such as separation or divorce, death in the family, or incarcerated family member. Rainbow group session will be held throughout the year. Parent permission is required.
Small Groups - Small groups are offered to students who may need support in various areas of skill development. The small groups include social/friendship, study skill, self-management, as well as other groups that may be determined as necessary to support students needs. Groups meet once a week during a 6 to 8 week time period. Parent permission is required.
